Javier Saviola who according to various reports in the Spanish press has been a long time target of Newcastle United, could very well be on the verge of a move to the San Siro. Inter's sporting director Marco Branca has approached Barcelona with a view to signing the striker.
Barcelona's coach Frank Rijkaard has yet to be convinced by Saviola despite some sparkling form in recent months.
Saviola is thought to want away as he is unhappy about the renegotiation of his contract and is believed to be keen to speak to Inter.
Any deal though will be a player swap as Branca is reluctant to pay cash for the Argentine international.
