With Roma likely to lose Walter Samuel to Chelsea in the summer they had concentrated on replacing him with Philippe Mexes, but with Liverpool now the firm favourites to land the french defernder, Roman eyes are looking elsewhere.
And if Boca Juniors prsident's Mauricio Macri hints are anything to go by that direction is defender Nicolas Burdisso: "At the moment there is nothing official to say," revealed Macri, "Though I will not hide the excellent relationship that exists between ourselves and Roma."
It is understood that the youngster would be available for around 3.5 million pounds and represents an exciting talent.
