Chelsea to go back in for Shevchenko

With the arrival of news confirming that AC Milan had rejected a bid for Andrei Shevchenko last week, Chelsea may be preparing a much bigger bid in order to lure the Ukrinian to London. They'r intiial bid is now believed to have been in the region of 22 Million pounds. However it is now believed that Roman Abromovich is still working on bringing the player to Stamford Bridge. How much that would take would be any bodies guess, but rumours of 80 or even 90 Million pund bids are currently doing the rounds.

Abromovich revealed earlier in the week that he had become friends with Shevchenko during his time in football, and this would be the signing the russian Billionaire really wants, however Milan have a billionaire of their own, and to my knowlegde have never sold a player for finacial reasons during his time in charge.

This could be a battle off the pitch a long time before the season starts.
