Inter Milan and Barcelona to battle for Ryan Giggs

Inter Milan are pressing Manchester United for talks, with a view to signing winger Ryan Giggs. Massimo Moratti is a long time fan of Giggs and tried to land the welshman last summer, but was beaten back by Manchester United. The news that Man Utd would be willing to let Giggs leave as prompted a great deal of interest with Barcelona entering the race.

Determined to get their man Inter have already spoken to Gigg's agent about a move to the San Siro, come the summer.

The talk of the arrival of Duff from Chelsea has unsettled Giggs and he has talked openly of how he feels his future is on the line at Old Trafford, in Giggs Inter would have a ready made replacement for Andy van der Meyde, who looks increasingly likely to be coming to the premership in the summer.
