Roma have come out n the attack, slamming reports that they have to sell their star man Francesco Totti, to resolve their financial dificulties. Totti had admited at the weekend that he could move away from Roma if the club really needed the money.

"If I was forced to leave then I would accept to go for the good of the club," stated the Italian international.

However Roma moved quickly to reasure thir star.

"If Totti has the desire to go and play for another club because he fears that Roma will not be competitive then we can discuss it," he stated.

"But there is no need for us to sell him so that we can be registered for next season’s League campaign."
