Tottenham Hotspur have signed SK Gjøvik Lyn youngster Alexander Olsen. We reported earlier that Spurs were closely watching the 17-year old starlet and we can now confirm that Spurs have agreed a deal.
Olsen impressed during a short trial and will move to White Hart Lane subject to passing a medical.
Tottenham snatched Alexander Olsen from under the noses of a host of European topclub. Spurs' sporting director Damien Comolli showed his delight at signing the Norwegian youngster.
"Alex is a talented player, very, very quick and has an impressive goalscoring record in what is his first season in the first team at Gjøvik Lyn," Comolli told the club's official website.
"He came here for a week's trial and impressed both our Academy and senior staff and we are delighted to sign him for our Academy and development squads.
"Alex had offers from many top clubs both in England and across Europe but he showed a real desire to play for Spurs."
