Liverpool manager Rafael Benitez has reacted furiously over Holland's decision not to release injured striker Dirk Kuyt from international duty. Kuyt injured his ankle in Saturday's clash with Bulgaria.
The 26-year old's ankle will be assesed before a decision will be made by the Dutch doctors.
Benitez is angry that his forward wasn't released immediately after injury.
"If Kuyt is a doubt for Wednesday, it means he is not fit," said Benitez.
"They were talking about seeing if he can play. If he plays, he may miss the next three or four games for Liverpool, including Blackburn, the Champions League and Manchester United.
"Our doctor spoke to the Dutch doctor yesterday and they said he would have a scan."
