Quakers Sign Sunderland Striker Teggart

Darlington have completed the signing of Sunderland's Neil Teggart having already seen a move for him hampered by injury. The forward however has now recovered from a hamstring injury and has finally moved to Quakers.

However it is unclear if the young forward will be starting for the game against Rochdale. He is naturally still recovering from injury and Hodgson will not want to rush things. At the very least he will be on the bench.

"We're pleased to have him on board, and I know he can score goals," said Hodgson. "I feel that he can step straight into a relegation battle, because we are playing decent football, and just need to take our chances. He's just recovered from an injury, so we must decide whether he is up to playing 90 minutes."

The 19 year old is highly rated at the Stadium of Light and was top scorer in the Blackcats' under nineteen side last season. The Northern Ireland born youngster has yet to make a first team appearance for the first division side and should do his chances no harm at all if he can produce the goods for Quakers.
