Wrexham manager Denis Smith's delight at a 1-0 win over Barnsley was spoiled by disciplinary problems, with some hard games coming up, suspensions are the last things on Smiths mind.

| Wrexham defender Dennis Lawrence was sent off for felling Michael Boulding, while Darren Ferguson faces suspension after his fifth yellow card of the season which is not the best news going into a crucial month of football. "It should have been more than 1-0 and it's frustrating that I'll lose two players," Smith told the club website. "Considering we have just won the Fair Play League, the referee has done his best to spoil the game!" Smith added: "We shouldn't be talking about the referee when we have seen a magnificent game. "We have kept a clean sheet to make it four on the trot, so that is something to be proud of. "With Brian (Carey) out, we had a very young back three after Dennis' sending off. "Craig Morgan and Shaun Pejic did a great job coming in." |
