| Grimsby 1-3
Wrexham Wrexham finally put the rot of three consecutive defeats behind them with a well deserved win at Grimsby.
Chris Llewellyn 18 minutes, started the scoring with a good header from a Carlos Edwards cross. The second goal was by Stephen Thomas who right footed to the bottom left of the Grimsby goal from 20 yards on 23 minutes from another Carlos Edwards assist. The third goal was scored by Chris Armstrong, a right footed shot to the bottom right of the goal from 18 yards on the 62nd minute from yet another Carlos Edwards assist, this time another cross from the right wing. With 72 minutes on the clock Phil Jevons for Grimsby scored with a headed goal from 18 yards to the bottom left of the goal from the centre of the penalty area, with the score being 1-3 there would be nervous last part for the travelling Wrexham faithful. On the 90th minute Phil Jevons hit the woodwork with a header from an in swinging corner by Jason Crowe. So Wrexham get a much needed win to settle a few nerves and go into Saturdays game with Brentford a little happier than they were on Saturday evening.
