Merse to sign tomorrow as Portmsouth chase Jeffers

Paul Merson's transfer to Portsmouth is close and is expected to be announced by the Fratton Park club at a press conference tomorrow. The former England International will under-go a medical at Fratton Park on Monday evening and should be unveiled tomorrow morning in front of the press.

Rumours have been circulating today that Portsmouth boss Harry Redknapp is close to signing Arsenal striker Francis Jeffers on a year-long loan deal.
