Charlton boss Alan Curbishley is belived to have Ipswich striker Marcus Bent on his want-list. The Ipswich Evening Star has reported that the Premiership club are chasing the former Blackburn man who managed 10 goals in a short spell with Ipswich last season.
Bent was brought to Ipswich to add some much needed firepower and the move almost worked.
Now boss George Burley must cut his wage bill and may be tempted to sell Bent.
The Ipswich Evening Star reports "A London source said today: "He is a player that manager Alan Curbishley has always been keen on and he may have already sounded Town out."
The paper also reports that Sixto Peralta may stay at Ipswich for another loan spell.
