Derby midfielder Rob Lee has agreed a new 1-year-deal to stay at Pride Park. Lee signed for Derby on a free transfer from Newcastle in February on a contract until the end of the season. Despite the Rams relegation Lee has signed a new deal for the new season.

At his peak Lee was on the best midfielders in the country winning 21 caps under Terry Venables.

Lee spoke to the clubs official site about his decision to stay with the club. "I always wanted to stay at Derby.

"Even though we had a tough season that ended in relegation I have really enjoyed my time here.

"Now I want to play my part in ensuring the Rams return to the Premiership straight away."
