Dons Kids Get Deals

Wimbledon kids Alex Tapp and Nigel Reo-Coker have been rewarded by the club and have been given new contracts at Selhurst Park. Wimbledon kids Alex Tapp and Nigel Reo-Coker have been rewarded by the club and have been given new contracts at Selhurst Park.

Both have broke into The Dons first team this season and have been very impressive , Tapp (20) and Reo Coker (18) have worked hard to break into the first team this year and been rewarded with deals till 2005 and 2006 respectively.

Both kids were speaking to the Dons officially website and told about there delight on gaining there deals.

Coker said "I'm really pleased with the new contract and I'm excited about the future. When I came into the team earlier in the season my aim was just to get some games under my belt and learn from the experience."

"I would have been happy with five or six games throughout the course of the season. But it's gone much better than I could have expected, and this contract has come much sooner than I ever dreamed it would."

Tapp added "I got the chance at the start of the season and have just been pleased to get in the first team and play some games. I feel things have gone well, and the goals against Reading and Southend in the Worthington Cup have been the highlights."

"With Nigel signing today as well we have sent out a signal that this club is a young talented bunch who will stick together. We've shown that we can beat the best in the league and with the move to Milton Keynes next season things are very much looking up."
