Stoke City have refused to rule out the possibility of getting Wimbledon defender Mark Williams to come to The Brittania. Stoke City have refused to rule out the possibility of getting Wimbledon defender Mark Williams to come to The Brittania.

Williams contract runs out at the end of the current season and Stoke are very interested in bringing the 32 year old defender to Stoke.

Tony Pulis is looking for a defender having letting defender Frazier Richardson leave.

A Stoke City spokesman said ""We're still waiting for confirmation from the management as to whether they are preparing a move or not."

"I can't comment on specific players, but given Frazer Richardson has gone back to Leeds, it would appear that we are looking for a defender."
