Leicester Host England International

Leicester's Walkers Stadium has been chosen for International duty , The England fixture on Tuesday June 3rd against Serbia and Montenegro is the fixture chosen for the East Midlands club. It's a major break through for Leicester seeing a full England international in the City of Leicester for the very first time , The Walkers Stadium holds 32,000 and is a magnificant venue and with the finance of the Foxes at this moment it can breath new life through the cash strapped club.

Leicester's Chief Executive Tim Davies speaking on the offcial Foxes website said "This is a fantastic honour, not just for Leicester City Football Club but for the whole community of Leicestershire."

"It is a great privilege that after 119 years of football in Leicester that we can now look forward to hosting our first ever full senior International."

Davies also added "We are delighted that The Football Association feel that our new stadium befits a senior International and we shall do everything in our power to assist The FA in making this a footballing event to remember for our whole community."

"Hosting an England game is a significant stage in the development of our Club and is a fantastic morale booster after the Club has had to endure one of the most challenging times in its history."
