Pompey boss Harry Redknapp has told out of favour midfielder Carl Robinson 'you can leave'. Pompey boss Harry Redknapp has told Carl Robinson that he wouldn't stand in his way if he wanted to join Sheff Wednesday on a permanent basis.

Robinson joined Portsmouth on a free from Wolves in the summer but has failed to make a first team place his own since Redknapp brought in Paul Merson.

Speaking tho the Portsmouth News Redknapp said "If Carl wanted to go to Sheffield Wednesday, I wouldn't stand in his way."

"I'm not trying to bomb him out. I like Carl a lot, he's a good player. But if he fancied a move then I wouldn't stop him."
