Dave Jones has apologised to all 756 diehard Wolves fans who witnessed the shambles at the seaside against Brighton at the weekend. As a Wolves fan i'm not going to use that many quotes - this story comes from the heart as one of those 756 that saw the pig ugly performance at Brighton.

Firstly as reported in the Express and Star we hear the apology that Mr Jones has served up , "I feel sorry for the fans who have travelled all this way because we've let them down again," said Jones. "That was the big one for us. We thought we were focused but we weren't."

Jones also added "The FA Cup is five days away and we haven't even spoken about it yet and neither have the players. All we were trying to do was focus on that game.

"We've got things right recently and we looked bright and sharp in training on Friday and we had chances in the first 15 or 20 minutes on Saturday."

"There were four good opportunities which have to be put away - that's the pressure which is on them."

Jones finished off saying "No-one can come out of this with any pride."

I know i'm stepping on Wolvesfc.co.uk and Scott Cooper toes doing this story but it's had me baffled since leaving the ground at 4-55pm , how can we play so well against Newcastle , outplay and humiliate Leicester and make Sheff Wed look mugs then play like that at Brighton.

The first 20 minutes looked promising but after that really it was one way traffic and Bobby Zamora with his pace killed us , i'm not going into match report mode i'll leave that to Scott Cooper on his site but getting up at 7am in the morning then having a 350 round trip facing me i needed Wolves to perform but heck did they no.

They need to improve very quickly because there is a team called Rochdale coming on sunday who really fancy there chances , and if we play like that against Dale - Molineux will get very heated with the cry's of Jones out.

You haven't got much time Jones - god help you if we lose on Sunday.

RANT OVER - and this was only meant to be a short story on Jones apology.
