Coventry City insist they have not given up snatching Darren Huckerby from under Forest's noses. Darren Huckerby it seems is the most wanted man in the Nationwide at present, and one club Coventry are still hopeful of landing the speedy Man City striker on loan.

With a mass convoy of clubs after his temporary services ie - Nottm Forest , Coventry , Leicester , Wolves and Walsall it seems like the Midlands is at war.

To set the record straight Wolves boss Dave Jones has rubbished the rumours from his camp about Huckerby , with nearly every striker fit at Molineux there's no need for any more at Wolves and he has stated that.

Huckerby being linked with Forest has reportdly been cooled and the link with Walsall well was only a rumour but you never know in football.

Coventry boss Gary Mcallister stated about the interest in Huckerby "I have made enquiries about Darren and we are hoping to be in there with a chance of getting him on loan."

"All we can do is try but it might be down to finances at the end of the day." Mcallister added

And just up the road at Leicester Mickey Adams has everybody knows needs cover for the injured Brian Deane and is looking at Huckerby as a stop gap.
