Sheff Wednesday winger Owen Morrisson has snubbed the chance at first team football at Carlisle due to not wanting to drop two divisions. Owen Morrisson has declined a trial at Third Divison Carlisle because he doesn't want to drop two divisions , the Wednesday winger is out of favour at Hillsbrough but still snubbed the Brunton Park outfits offer.

Morrisson who this week was one of the four Wednesday players to be arrested and questioned about an alleged fracus at a Leeds nightclub, looks like staying on and fighting for his place at relegation threatned Wednesday.

Speaking to local paper The Sheffeild Star boss Chris Turner said "I thought it was an opportunity for him to go there and get some first-team football. But at the moment it's not going to happen."

"I'm trying to wheel and deal, Some players need games, and haven't played many in recent weeks."

"They need more football, not just to help themselves, but so they are ready if they are pitched in by us. I'm trying to get one or two of our players out on loan." Turner added
