Steve Sidwell has signed for First Division Reading after turning down a bid from Brighton. Steve Sidwell has finally uprooted from the Highbury ranks by joining Reading , he has signed a three year deal for an undisclosed fee.

Arsenal have gave the youngster a chance for first team football and Sidwell is very happy playing in this division , he has been on loan at Brighton all season and turned down a move to the Withdean opting for the Madeski instead.

Speaking to the official Royals site Alan Pardew said "His desire to win the game means he protects our box and more importantly contributes with a goal threat at the other end."

"He's technically proficient as you would expect coming through Arsenal's Academy system. I'm overjoyed he's joined us, he's another young player we've invested in for now and the future." Pardew also added
