Derby have talked down rumours that Leeds Utd have put a bid in for hitman Malcolm Christie. Leeds Utd have been reported as putting in a £2 million bid for the Derby striker , which has been quickly quashed by Derby chiefs.

Christie was reported as going to Middlesborough along with Chris Riggot last week but nothing else has been reported about that move , and todays reports are likewise.

Derby still have to offload players to pay there massive debt off but it seems £2 million for a player of Christies quality is a slap in the face.

But realisticly Derby have to monitor all bids due to there current finacial worrys, and it might not take much more then the reported £2 million to persuad Derby to part company with there biggest asset.
