Sheffield Wednesday are targetting Aston Villa's out of favour striker to fill the boots of Gerald Sibon. Sheffield Wednesday are ready to immediatly fill the boots of Gerald Sibon's exit yesterday to Heerenveen , Wednesday boss Chris Turner is keen on replacing Sibon with a loan move for Marcus Allback of Aston Villa.

With funds avaliable from the exit of Sibon , Turner will go ahead and strenghten the squad to save them from the drop this term.

Allback who's future at Villa looks bleak now Dion Dublin is back in favour has stated he doesn't know much about the contact , he said "I don't know anything about this"

"I have thought about my situation, but even Swedes like Fredrik Ljungberg and Anders Svensson were not playing regularly in their first season.

"It takes a while to get used to the style of play here.

"So a loan doesn't feel that topical." Allback added.

But Bill Green spokeman for Wednesday has confirmed that Allback is one of many players that the club are looking at he said "We are looking at him,He is one of the players we are interested in."
