Fabrizio Ravenelli has taken a 25% pay cut to ease Derby's crippling financial worrys.
Derby have boosted a little by the news that striker Fabrizio Ravanelli has taken a wage cut , the deal that the Italian striker has agreed to is that he will take a 25% cut from his massive 40,000 a week.
The striker is currently out for 3 months and his massive wages would eat well into the finances at Pride Park , but the deal between the club and Ravanelli is the first step forward in trying to save the club.
Ravanelli speaking to the official Derby site said "I have reached an agreement with the club to have a 25% reduction. I have done it in order to help the club."
"Me and the other players are going to try and help the club through this difficult situation.
"It is a personal decision. You have an option to help. I like this club, and I like the fans. I want to stay here." Ravanelli also added
