Preston midfielder Michael Keane might face heartache after being told he might be out for the rest of the season. The young midfielder who is still only 19 has had a recurrence of a fractured foot which has already sidelined him for the past two months.

He was rated at one of the most promising players last season at Preston but this latest injury is a massive blow to Preston as they seek a place in the promotion mix up at the end of the season.

Craig Brown said to the local newspaper Lancashire Evening Telegraph "It will be nearly the end of the season before he's ready to return. It's a massive blow for the club and the boy himself."
"The doctors said the only solution now is to screw the bone together. When it has healed properly they will then take the screw out. So it's two operations.

Another blow to Preston as well today is that the news of Ricardo Fuller who needs surgery on a knee injury he picked up in the 2-1 victory at Coventry , he could be out for at least 3 to 4 weeks.
