A easy away win for the Blades which get them into the playoffs , a first strike of the season for new signing Steve Kabba was then followed up by a first half strike from Dean Windass  , Blades rompted it in the second half with further strikes from Shaun Murphy whos smart header made it 3-0 , then a penalty from Michael Brown and a late Carl Asaba goal wrapped up the victory, Gus Ulenbeek was red carded for a bad  tackle on Michael Tonge to compound the Bantams misery.

Burnley 2 Norwich 0

In form Norwich were dealt a massive blow at Turf Moor today when Burnley rocked the canaries into defeat , second half goals settled the match with a goal apeice from Mark Mcgegor and a Glenn Little strike.

C Palace 2 Grimsby 0

Palace sneeked into midtable with a good win over relegation haunted Grimsby with goals from Shaun Derry and another strike from in form Dele Adebola , Grimsby who sit 4th from bottom were never really at the races today.

Ipswich 2 Coventry 1

Ipswich's recent good run continued today as they beat play off hopefuls Coventry at Portman Road , sub Pablo Counago was the pick of the bunch scoring his tenth goal of the season to ein it for Ipswich , Darren Bent headed home on 10 minutes to put Ipswich infront , Coventrys John Eustace thought he got Coventry a piont with a great drive from the edge of the area then up popped Counago in the 83rd min.

Leicester 2 Rotherham 1

The Foxes keep the heat on Pompey with two second half goals one from Paul Dickov and another from Jordan Stewart that makes it 9 wins  from 10 home games , Martin Mcintosh grabbed a consilation goal straight after.

Preston 2 Brighton 2

Brightons great run continues and brings them fighting with the pack at the bottom , Brighton went two down and looked like the run would end with Prestons goals coming from Chris Lucketti and Richard Cresswell , but Brighton are made from sterner these days and come from behind to get a piont at Deepdale today , the Brighton goals coming from Simon Rodger and on loan Arsenal striker Steve Sidwell.

Reading 1 Watford 0

Watford's poor run continues as they slide out of the play off places with a narrow defeat at Madjeski Staduim today , Kevin Watson scored the only goal of the game when his deflected 20 yard drive screamed into the net , the visitors missed a penalty and Neil Cox was the culprit , Watford rued a glaring miss at the end to salvage a draw.

Leaders Pompey carried on killing the league tonight when they took all 3 points at Hillsborough , two goals from man of the match Todorov and a Gary O Neil just after sealed the pionts for Pompey , Leon Knight gave the hosts something to shout about when they equalised but it was to no avail.

A goal from Millwall's Steven Reid in the 2nd minute condemed Stoke City to yet another defeat , a great cross from Denis Wise found the head of Reid who powered home from 6 yards.

Walsall 1 Gillingham 0

Junior was the hero of the day as Walsall claimed there first win in three games , Junior scored on 7 minutes with a great left foot finish , Gillingham were the better side in the second half but all the pressure was for nothing.

Wolves 2 N Forest 1

Two goals in the last 14 minutes gave Wolves a undeserved victory at Molineux , just before half time Marlon Harewood gave the visitors the lead with a great low drive from 20 yards , then a frantic finale Kenny Miller struck Wolves level on 76 minutes when the Forest defence back off and gave the striker the chance for a low drive into the bottom corner , the four minutes later Dean Sturridge got space in the area from a Cooper free kick to header the ball past the helpless keeper.
