England boss Sven Goran-Ericsson has called up up Nottingham Forest's 18 year old defender Michael Dawson. Following injuries and illnesses to Jonathan Woodgate and Ledley King Nottingham Forest wonder kid Michael Dawson has been drafted into Sven Goran-Ericsson's mini get-together in Hertfordshire.

The tall centre half who only recently made his under 21 debut joined up with the squad on Tuesday, despite originally being in David Platt's young party.

Dawson's call-up doesn't really come as much of a surprise with a host of top Premiership sides keeping a close eye on the 18 year old, and the call-up will only fuel speculation about a possible January transfer.
