Weekend Previews

Brighton v Derby

Brighton have a few injury worries with Blackwell , Rodger , Zamora and Barret all rated 50/50 , Paul Brooker could make a start in place of Barrett , and Daniel Webb could replace Bobby Zamora if the striker fails a late fitness test.

Malcolm Christie could return after a knee injury , Lewis Hunt is almost certainly out after he was sidelined for a month with damaged bones in his knee. Dean Burton , Fabrizio Ravenelli and Craig Burley could figure in the squad after succesful reserve team outings in the week.

Coventry v Wolves

Jay Bothroyd will be fit tommorow after resuming training yesterday , Craig Hignett will face Wolves tommorow as his suspension does not start until next weekend , Morten Hyldgaard will be missing he is still recovering from a thight strain.

Wolves will be without key players for the trip to Coventry , Blake , Cameron and Ndah all miss the game due to bad injuries , Mark Kennedy is fit after rumours about an international withdrawal was down to injury again. JJ Melligan is drafted into the squad the young Irish midfielder has scored 7 in 12 while on loan at Kidderminster.

Gillingham v Sheff Wed

Nyron Noseworthy is suspended after being sent off against Wolves a few weeks back , Mark Saunders wil cover Noseworthys absence . Paul Shaw will return after missing the last game with a virus , Tommy Johnston might be considered after a bright weeks training.

Defenders out for Chris Turner , Danny Maddix and Ashley Westwood all miss the trip to Gillingham  , Paul Mclaren is also a doubt in midfield he has a calf strain.

Grimsby v Preston

Paul Groves will be without possibly Danny Coyne and Shaun Allaway both will have late fitness tests , Good news for Groves is the return of Alan Pouton after he finished serving a one match ban.

Chris Lucketti will miss the game due to a side strain and Colin Murdock is suspended ,  Marlon Broomes and Michael Jackson will deputise for them at the back.

Millwall v Leicester (game of the day)

Darren Ward is a big doubt for the game after suffering from a bruised knee , Matt Lawrence might fill in for him also considered is Paul Robinson if Ward fails to make it , Steven Reid is hoping for a place on the bench after being a long term casulty. Not forgetting Denis Wise welcomes the team who he's sueing to the New Den.

Matt Elliot is the one big doubt he is suffering with a calf strain picked up in the Foxes 2-0 win over Walsall . Taggart and Mckinlay are both out they are serving one match bans.

Norwich v C Palace

Nigel Worthington has great news that he has no new injury worries  , Neil Emblen also returns after recovering from a groin strain.

In Contrast Dougie Freedman will be sidelined for up to a month after picking up a nasty groin strain. No injury worries elsewere for Palace.

Nottm Forest v Bradford

Forest are boosted by the return of leading scoring David Johnston , Defender Des Walker and Midfielder Jim Brennan after the trio picked up slight knocks during the week , Out though is Eugene Bopp who is sidelined for a month with knee injury.

Nicky Laws is down to his bare bones and onl has 11 fit senior players , so in come youngster Simon Francis and Graeme Tomlinson who has been drafted in from non league Kingstonain.

Portsmouth v Stoke

Steve Stone is likely to be fit after picking up a slight hamstring strain in training , Kevin Harper will deputise if Stone is ruled out.

Surgei Shtanuik is suspended so Petur Marteinsson could return in his place , Gareth Owen and Kris Common are both definate non starters

Rotherham v Burnley

Ronnie Moore has no new injur worries and will field the same squad that beat Watford last weekend , Darren Byfield has been ill this week but should be fit to be in the squad.

Tony Grant is suspended after picking up five bookings , Ian Moore will return alongside Gareth Taylor and Robbie Blake.

Sheff Utd v Reading

Dean Windass will make an immediate debut tommorow , also in line is new signing Steve Kabba who signed today might make a debut as well , Michael Boulding is a casulty with an ankle injury.

The Royals are sweating over the fitness of on loan Arsenal defender Mathew Upson who has a head injury , Ricky Newman is serving a one match ban so he's unavaliable.

Watford v Ipswich

Paul Robinson is out injured after limping off in the defeat at Rotherham , Tommy Smith might be considered along with Sean Dyche but Neil Cox is not going to be risked. New signing Jermaine Pennant a loan capture will definately start.

Good news for Joe Royle is the returns of Mark Venus , Matt Holland and Jim Magilton. Tommy Miller will also be a return with Joe Royle boasting a fully fit squad.

Wimbledon v Walsall

No new injury worries for the Dons , Alex Tapp and Mark Williams are back in training and hopeful for a return.

Ludo Pollet a new loan capture from rivals Wolves will start in defence , Aranalde will be missing after cracking ribs and also Ian Roper is suspended.
