It has been announced that Latvian international winger Andrejs Rubins has left Crystal Palace after having his contract cancelled by mutual consent.

Rubins has had a rather disappointing season as he has struggled for form,only making only 2 appearances, both coming from the substitutes bench.

The £2 million signing from Skonta Rigo made a total of 37 appearances for the Eagles in his two years at the club.It is believed that Trevor Francis no longer sees the pacey winger as having a role to play at the club so has released him to free up room on the wage bill as Francis may have one or two new signings in his sights.
