Ashley Wards proposed transfer to Ipswich has been scuppered because the striker wants a permanent deal not a loan move.
Joe Royle's chances of landing Bradford striker has hit the rocks, because Ashley Ward turned down a loan deal to Portman Road because he wants a permanent deal there only.
The Bradford striker was a firm favourite of Joe Royle's ,and it's a blow for Royle because he can only bring in players on loan at the present time.
Royle said to the official Bradford site " Ashley is looking for a more permanent move and unfortunately that is not possible for us at the moment,"
"He is after a permanent move but we are not in a position to offer permanent contracts, only loan deals." Royle also added
