Former Scottish international Bruce Rioch has declared that he wants the vacant manager's job at Ipswich. Rioch has managed several clubs since retiring as a player including Millwall, Bolton, Arsenal and Norwich. In fact the Scot still lives in East Anglia from his time at Carrow Road.

Rioch expressed his disappointment at George Burley's departure but admitted his interest in the position.

"But understandably in this industry you are governed by results, and naturally I would be interested in talking to Ipswich Town," Rioch told BBC Online.

"Obviously I would have an interest in the position at Ipswich Town".
