Burnley have decided not to keep midfielder Lenny Johnrose at the club. Johnrose, 32, was released in the summer before manager Stan Ternent opted to bring the veteren back on a 1-month contract. Now the month has expired Johnrose is to leave the club for the second time.

Assistant manager Sam Ellis told of the situation to BBC Radio Lancashire. "He's done well for the month that he's been here.

"The gaffer will have made the decision - and it won't have been an easy one to make.

"These types of decision are not just footballing ones. When politics and finance come into it, it's not easy."
