Coventry left it late against Grimsby at the weekend and they did the same against The Owls, this time they could only manage a point though.

Wednesday really should have been leading at the break after both Paul McLaren and Alan Quinn hit the woodwork. On 58 minutes Leon Knight scored his first Wednesday goal after a neat one-two with McLaren.

Norwegian midfielder Runar Normann made it equal with 14 minutes to go heading home from a Gary McAllister cross.

Nottm Forest 4 Gillingham 1

3 goals and 1 assist, not bad for an evenings work eh? No doubts Marlon Harewood will be pleased with his efforts last night.

Harewood got the ball rolling for Forest after just four minutes, after a David Johnson flick-on. Gills player-boss Andy Hessenthaler pulled one back two minutes later with a late surge into the box to reach a Roland Edge cross.

Harewood was on form though and scored from the spot after Edge had tripped him. He then returned the earlier favour to Johnson who headed home.

Harewood completed his hat-trick with 20 minutes to spare after Johnson laid it on.

Reading 0 Norwich 2

Two early goals were enough for Norwich depsite Reading playing for 50 minutes with 10 men.

Paul McVeigh opened the scoring on just three minutes, side-footing home a low Iwan Roberts cross. Two minutes later and Phil Mulryne doubled the lead with an excellent curling effort that followed a clever build-up.

Reading were reduced to 10 men when captain John Mackie walked for a late challenge on McVeigh
