Leicester director Martin George says the club will have to sell more of its stars. Since relegation from the Premiership fans have seen Robbie Savage, Gary Rowett, Matthew Piper and Lee Marshall sold whilst Tim Flowers has been loaned to Manchester City.

George warned that the future of the club is on the line. "The fact is we have had very few offers and I'm not surprised - the wage levels of our players are unattractive to other clubs," said George.

"It never occurred to me in my wildest dreams that we would not have sold Muzzy Izzet over the summer, for instance."

"We have a £15m gap and we haven't filled it by half yet."
