Ipswich Town midfielder Matt Holland has rejected a move to Premiership Aston Villa despite the clubs agreeing a fee. Holland's snub follows Herman Hreidarsson's snub to West Brom earlier this month.
Villa are expected return with another offer for Holland before the weekend but the snub is bad news for Ipswich who, despite not wanting to sell Holland, need the money following relegation.
Holland's agent Jonathan Barnett explained the reasoning behind the snub. "I was very impressed with Villa and conveyed that to Matt.
But we are miles apart. Prehaps they will have a chat amongst themselves and come back with something else.
