Wolves have targeted Andy Griffin and John Curtis as potential signings before transfer dealine day for the final push for promotion to the Premier League. Wolves boss, Dave Jones, is keen to bolster his defence and sees Curtis and Griffin as ideal. Wolves are believed to have already had a loan offer for Curtis rejected but may return with an offer. Griffin is the more likley of the two to be sold. Griffin has been little more than a fringe player this season and the England Under-21 defender is keen to kick-start his career with first team action.

Des Walker may be set for a return to the City Ground with Notts Forest. Walker who spent a huge chunk of his career there has been training with Forest and could play in a future reserve game against Arsenal.

Coventry have signed both Horacio Carbonari from Derby and Paul Trollope from Fulham on loan till the end of the season. Carbonari has failed to get back into the Derby defence following an injury late last year. Welsh international midfielder Trollope is also seeing little action at Craven Cottage and is believed to be happy to move away to get first team action.

Birmingham look set to buy Celtic Defender Oliver Tebily for £1 million as Steve Bruce looks to strenghten his back four. Teibly is not in Martin O'Neills plans at Parkhead. Bruce moved for the Ivory Coast international following suspension to Darren Purse and injury to Steve Vickers. Bruce was believed to be interested in Andy Todd but the Charlton man has agreed to stay at Grimsby on loan till the end of the season.

Prston have signed Clyde Wijnhard till the end of the season from Huddersfield. Preston have been looking for a striker since Jon Macken was sold to Man City.

Man City have rejected a loan move from Premiership strugglers Bolton for defender Paul Ritchie, Kevin Keegan is keen to keep his squad at full strength for the final run-in.
