Leeds go into Saturdays clash with Ipswich with a change of midfield personnel. Sean Derry is suspended, whilst the club revealed today that Seth Johnson would take no further part this season. One more appearance from the former Derby star would trigger another £250,000 to the Rams as part of his transfer fee, and with little to play for this season, Leeds will take stock of the situation at the end of the season. If Johnson can be offloaded, he will be, as his £37,000 a week wages could get in 5 or 6 new players. Seth was arguably our best performer against QPR, and his goal showed what class he has – it’s unlikely though that he’ll be pulling on the shirt again next season unless a huge wage reduction can be agreed.

Blackwell is keen to have a further look at Einarsson, and the Icelandic midfielder is likely to play in the remainder of the games. Players pushing for a midfield spot will be Walton, Wright, Pugh and Richardson to go alongside Lennon and Gylfi. Up front, with Healy still ruled out, Marlon King will have another chance to show what he can do. With Forest looking like they may go down, King may be available on a free transfer in the Summer, so KB is likely to include him to see if he’s a long term option.
