Trevor Birch has announced there is NO deal to sell Robinson to Spurs. After talks between the two clubs, it looked like a deal totalling £2 million was agreed, and the official site announced the deal, saying that Robbo was staying with us on loan for the rest of the season. It is not clear why the move has broken down, but, as happened earlier in the season when he nearly signed for Aston Villa, Robbo continues to be a Leeds player. It is rumoured that Leeds decided to sell Robbo due to Danny Mills not completing his expected move to Middlesboro – this left the club with a shortfall of £1.5 million, which needed to be made up before the next deadline on Friday – how the collapse of the deal affects this will become clearer in the days ahead…
