that Leeds may have got an eleventh hour reprieve. Talk this morning appears to show that the Sheik is riding in on his white horse, with a rescue package of £35 million. It seems These reports are as yet unconfirmed, but these rumours have been circulating on message boards and chat rooms for a number of days. Nothing official, but I am expecting some kind of announcement later in the day. Early indications are that £20 million will be paid to the creditors, which will buy us some time to get a full rescue package in place. There could even be some money available for team strengthening. Local radio stations have been reporting on this since the early hours, and some National newspapers have also got an angle on the story. As Leeds fans, we know not to get too excited until something is signed, but the share price is up 44% as I write, so the city seems to think there is something in it. Updates to follow during the course of the day, if and when anything happens….
