Although there is an International break, a couple of the young players on the verge of the first team, represented England under 20’s last night. James Milner played for the first 65 minutes on the left wing, whilst Matthew Killgallon played the full 90 minutes at centre back. Milner looked sharp, had a hand in a goal (England won 2-0 v Czech Republic), and got an excellent ovation when he was substituted. Killgallon impressed me immensely. He won pretty much everything in the air, looked quick, was strong in the tackle, and passed the ball well. The young defender isn’t getting much game time on loan to West Ham, but looks destined to be a very good player when he makes the break in to the first team, in the not too distant future…
