10 man Leeds reserves beat Middlesbrough 4-3

With more front page headlines greeting us this morning, let’s concentrate on the football, and a great reserve win last night.... A strong Leeds side fell behind early on, before Aaron Lennons cross was turned into the net by a Boro defender. The home side thenm scored twice more to lead 3-1, and Leeds looked dead and buried, especially when Wilcox went over the top ion a tackle, and was dismissed. However, this seemed to kick start Leeds, and when Barmby went tumbling in the box, Bridges stepped up to convert the penalty. Soon, Leeds were level, Fraser Richardson hitting a screamer from outside the box. Leeds continued to push, and Lennon was causing problems out wide. Eventually the visitors were rewarded when Dominic Krief fired home through a crowded area. Middlesbrough threw everything forward, but couldn’t find a way through, and Leeds hung on for a fine win
