Is it a good deal? Hell yes!! Peter Reid seems to have done another good bit of business with the loan out of James Milner - here's why.. James Milner yesterday agreed to join Swindon on a months loan. I think this is a tremendous move for all parties. Milner will learn a lot more from playing competitive football at this level, than playing for the reserves. Swindon will get an excellent player, albeit for a month, and Leeds get two bonuses – Milner will in theory develop that little bit more, and come back a better player, and also, we’ll save on his wages. Reid seems keen on loans deals, and he continues to impress me with his use of them. Big earners Mills and Mcphail are off the wage bill, as they weren’t close to the squad. Harte nearly went, and I would imagine that had anyone come in for Barmby and Wilcox, the same would have happened. The other players out on loan are all there to get experience, like Milner, Kilgallon and Singh are furthering their football education in the way that Beckham and Defoe have done previously. ">
