Leeds have announced the same squad as were on duty on Saturday. Midfielder Stephen Mcphail was originally included, but has joined Nottingham Forest on a 3 month loan deal. Injuries to key defenders may affect Peter Reids selection

Leeds go into tonights game desperate to bounce back from Saturdays defeat at Spurs. The main plusses on our opening two games have been the effort and workrate, but we now need to add some quality. Jermaine Pennant is expected to replace Jason Wilcox on the right hand side of midfield. Wilcox has battled hard, and worked well, but has offered little as an attacking threat. Pennant has the pace and skill to scare opponents, and will surely get the nod. At the back, there are worries over both Radebe and Matteo. The Chief still struggles to play two games in a short space of time, and Matteo has an ankle injury. Didier Domi is on standby to make his first start should either player not make it. Reid has again included Ian Harte and Nick Barmby in his squad, although neither have made it to the bench this year. The Elland Road faithfull will also be hoping to get their first look at Aarron Lennon, who made his debut for the last 10 minutes at Tottenham. For Southampton, goalkeeper Niemi is out, so Welsh International Paul Jones will be in between the sticks. Up front, James Beattie and Kevin Phillips will be looking to forge a very dangerous partnership. It's a 7.45 kick off, and it will be far from a sell out tonight. The visit of Southampton on a Tuesday night, could well see one of the smallest Elland Road crowds for many years.
