The whole Simon Grayson sage took a new twist today - shortly after announcing Grayson as the new manager, Blackpool released a statement to say that Grayson had tendered his resignation at 8:30 this morning but it had not been accepted. This means he could still a Blackpool employee despite the announcement that Leeds had appointed him today.
It seems it is never easy where Leeds are concerend, who could now face action from the Football League if it is beleived they have not followed the correct protocol.
Either way, it now seems irreversable that Grayson will be the next Leeds United manager, the question outstanding, is at what cost?
As BB said on another thread there is an exit/ compensation clause in his contract so we have to pay that - maybe more it want his backroom staff and quick resolution - lawyers will sort even if on Xmas day
You can't merge one's on the stories BILF - it is a way to get new visitors to visit the board.
You can refuse to accept a resignation BB - the guy had signed a timed contract, just like a player cannot just resign and then sign on somewhere else.

Equally you cannot force him to stay -it's about the money - lawyers will be ready and willing to sort it two chairmen cannot - Blackpool are trying to force us to pay more

Blackpool FC can confirm that Simon Grayson tendered his resignation at 0830 on Tuesday morning. The resignation was not accepted by the board of directors and the club and are now considering legal action against both Simon Grayson and Leeds United.

Agree BB but that will be different for his backroom team perhaps - if contested Blackpool can make it more difficult for them to follow assuming they don't get offered Blackpool job
his escape clause is around 500k from wat i heard we offered 200k. end of day 500k is nothing for a quality manager much ratrher spend 500k on a manager that has completely blown expectations out of the watewr with blackpool and there shoestring budget then not get him at all
