Thompson steps up for return

Leeds skipper, Alan Thompson will push his claim for a straight return to the first team following an injury lay-off - with a reserve team appearance tonight against Scunthorpe. Thompson has been out for just over a month and will be keen to show Wise and new Assistant, Dave Bassett, that he is ready to feature against Swindon on Saturday.

Also  expected to feature is Shaun Derry.  Derry has been absent for a year and although Wise has said he would be happy for Derry to find a loan club, he has yet to move anywhere and may just impress enough to show he deserves a place, especially with the midfield crisis looming over the whites.  Injuries and suspensions has seen the midfield wiped out.
