Leeds bowed out of the FA Cup with barely a whimper as they were cast aside by West Brom. The game was effectively over with 15 minutes as Leeds found themselves 2 down and chasing shadows. To be fair to Dennis Wise's men, they never gave up, and matched their opponents in the second half. It was a poor defensive display that cost the Whites, with WBA able to open up the Leeda back 4 at will. In midfield, Jason Koumas had all the time in the world to ping the ball 40 metres and set up wave after wave of attack.
With Leeds 2 down at the break, wise made wholsale changes - Derry joinging new boys Flo and Sa as they replaced Heath, Howson and Moore. The team worked harder, and despite losing a third goal, deserved a consolation albeit a Robinson own goal.
Wise took the positives out of the game - reflecting on the second half improvement and his sides attacking threat, whilst admitting that Leeds were poor defensively. He hinted at a couple more players to come in during the transfer window that will help shape his side for the relegation battle ahead.
