Coventry City took a valuable three points, thanks to another Adam Armstrong goal.

Coventry City stayed in the Top 6, thanks to a quality victory over Chesterfield, with Adam Armstrong scoring his sixth goal of the season after 50 minutes.

Once again the home side created chances for fun (Twenty according to BBC stat's), but were slightly wasteful in front of goal. They were also denied a goal that would have calmed nerves before the final whistle, due to an incorrect offside decision.

Kent and Murphy tormented Chesterfield throughout, though it was Vincelot who seemed the target for most of the away sides attention.

Morsy could and should have been sent off any number of times, though, despite a number of fouls that looked more at home on a rugby pitch by Chesterfield's players (Who somehow only picked up three bookings), Dieseruvwe was sent off for attempting to score with his hand - somehow still managing to miss from a yard out.

At the back, the defence were rock-solid, restricting Chesterfield to very few chances. On the few occasions he was called upon, Burge looked far more solid than he has recently too.

The attendance was just over 11,000, though the quality of football on show deserved far more....
