Whether or not Andy Thorn really is the man capable of bringing a decent season to Coventry City remains to be seen (Should he actually be offered the chance), but it seems that everybody loves him.

He does deserve congratulating for doing in six games something it took Aidy Boothroyd seventeen games to do: gain eleven points. And with those eleven points he has - barring a miracle - kept us in the Championship, something I really could not see happening under the previous manager. 

He has also got the side scoring goals (Averaging two a game since he took over), and playing well, to the point where I once again get the nervous excitement before matches that I used to, which had been missing for most of this and last season too. Under Aidy Boothroyd, matchdays were a chore. 

The defence, at times, still seems a little easily breached, but I wouldn't expect every problem we have to be sorted overnight! Watford, for instance, could have scored five against us, but we should have scored six! 

And I doubt Jutkiewicz will have as productive a 25 minutes in a Coventry City shirt as he did against Watford if he stays for five years! He was unlucky not to score four. 

Should Thorn be offered the job, as his previous job was chief scout, he should already have a list of potential transfer targets for the coming summer break too. Certain players that are expected to leave will be difficult to replace. 

Marlon King's return of ten goals in eleven games is absolutely out-standing, and he would be sorely missed next season should he leave. As he would cost no fee, that sort of return should have half the sides in the Premiership after him this summer. I might put an extra line or two on the lottery over the coming weeks to see if I can win enough money to fund his stay. 

Aside from Thorn restoring the feel-good factor to Coventry City, I'm wondering if the same love will be shown to SISU? It was seemingly their fault when the club were on the crest of a slump, so is it their 'fault' when we're winning too? Maybe they weren't actually the biggest problem after all? 

With tickets for the final game of the season a very reasonable price (Or correctly priced?!), at a mere £12.50 to £15.50 for adults, less for the rest, it would be great to see a few extra seats filled at the Ricoh - even if it's only to say 'thanks' to Andy Thorn for stopping the rot, and 'goodbye' to the three better players expected to leave.
