The only change from the starting line-up versus Leicester saw a 'real' midfield player come in for somebody merely filling in, with Clingan replacing the suspended Cranie. With that in mind, and after a decent display at the Wa*kers Stadium, it wouldn't have been to much to expect more of the same, or better, would it? Wrong. 

O'Halloran, who I was informed would be a quality signing as he spent half a season in the treatment room, was once again at fault as Coventry City conceded, with Clarkson setting up Maynard for the away sides first goal on 14 minutes (Against the run of play). Ten minutes later, Nyatanga made it 0-2. 

Coventry City did hit the post with half-an-hour played, though a 42nd minute foul in the area by Cameron (Not helped by another O'Halloran error) allowed Clarkson to make it 3-0 from the penalty spot. 

The away side, according to stat's, managed only three shots on goal in the first half, and left the field at half-time three goals to the good. That's the sort of 'percentage game' Aidy Boothroyd should be aiming for.... 

Westwood was replaced by Ireland at half-time, and the inexperienced keeper injured himself with his first touch of the game, and required treatment from the Coventry City physio after his second touch. Truly farcical. 

Adding to the farce, Coventry City 'striker' Jutkiewicz actually scored, which was his first goal in seventeen games. This gave home fans the briefest hopes of a come-back .... until Marlon King got himself sent off for the second time this season minutes later. In between the two incidents, Hussey thankfully replaced O'Halloran. 

Elliott rubber-stamped the fact the game was over as a contest on 81 minutes, and only a decent save from Ireland late on stopped Coventry City conceding a fifth. 

In a slight change to the after-match norm of excuses, Aidy Boothroyd apologised - and rightly so - claiming the result was a freakish blip. Should the next two fixtutes end in defeats, it will surely be P45 time?
