Due to the delicate temperament of certain Coventry City supporters, there will be two versions of the match report for yesterdays fixture versus Watford....

Rather obviously, Coventry City are the greatest team in the known world, though sometimes their performances do dip below the levels expected from the footballing equivalent of the Harlem Globetrotters. And sadly, daring to criticise any poor display could see more dummies thrown from prams, so, with that in mind, you can now choose from the 'flowery BS' version, or something nearing the truth.

Read on for 'flowery' - truth to follow later....

Aidy Bothrooyd's superb tactical genius, which saw Coventry City pretend to be dis-interested in this fixture for 75 minutes, before blitzing Watford and stealing a point, helped take Coventry City into third place in the table. Genius. And they really should have won too, with Doyle's late effort saved by Loach.

Coventry City used their third and fourth keepers of the season, despite only having played three fixtures (Two if you don't count the cup, which you really shouldn't be doing .... though I guess that means the club has only used three keepers, as Doyle's appearance won't actually count), with all doing enough to warrant interest from Barcelona and Real Madrid.

David Bell's strike, surely already 'Goal Of The Season' (Actually it was rather good), began the superb come-back, before Jutkiewic's penalty - one of the best ever, and against a keeper so good he was in the England squad against Hungary last Wednesday, which makes it even better - made the scoreline 2-2.

This result totally justified Sir Aidy's decision to not bother competing in the League Cup, and makes everybody that complained about his fielding a weakened side look very foolish. Very foolish indeed. Don't ever dare question him again, you losers.

With Coventry City now unbeaten in two Championship fixtures, and sitting proudly in a play-off place, Aidy Boothroyd is surely a 'must' for the next England manager?! Though not before he's taken his ever-improving Coventry City side into the Premiership, and maybe even the Champions League....

Yesterday at 7:17pm I wrote: "An excellent performance by Watford to dominate the match and until the 88th minute to have scored two goals and conceded none, and it really bodes well for the rest of the season. Just a shame we blotted our copybook by conceding two late goals to draw 2-2 and leave a bitter taste in the mouth, but apart from that excellent".

Four hours later, I compared the match to that evening's Twenty20 Cup final between Somerset and winners Hampshire.
